Harworth completes sale of colliery site for £54m

The former Kellingley Colliery site near Selby

Harworth Group announced to the London Stock Exchange today that it had completed the £54 million sale of its Kellingley Colliery site to HPREF I Konect Investments SARL .

Contracts on the 149-acre site near Selby were exchanged in November 2021, but were conditional on the approval of a reserved matters planning application.

Harworth took control of the former colliery site in 2016, when it began remedial works and masterplan works. In 2019 it gained outline planning permission from Selby District Council for a 1.4 million square foot logistics and industrial site.

HPREF I Konect Investments is a joint venture between Henderson Park, a London-based real estate private equity firm, and developer Cole Waterhouse.
