Tributes pour in following sudden death of Gloucestershire businessman
A well-known and popular Gloucestershire business leader has died suddenly after suffering a heart attack.
Tracey Pope, 58, was operations and financial director at the family run company Protrack.
Mr Pope worked in the business trade for many years and was employed by The Building Centre and Travis Perkins amongst others before working with the family business.
Protrack, which specialises in vehicle and personal tracking systems was launched ten year’s ago by Mr Pope’s brother Kevin.
Tracey joined the business shortly after its launch and worked closely with his brother.
Mr Pope leaves behind his wife of 34 years Wendy and two children, James, 33, and Sophie 24, and two grandchildren, Jacob, aged 10 and Archie, seven.
The Pope family say they have been bowled over by the messages of support from the local business community.
Mr Pope was also a well-known mason, belonging to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Gloucestershire May Hill Lodge.
The family have asked for donations to be made to the Gloucester Feed the Hungry appeal.
The funeral is planned for Gloucester Crematorium on Friday, February 3rd, from 11.30am to 12.15pm followed by a wake at Wotton Hall Social Club, Barnwood.
