Jobs boost as Canadian outsourcer arrives

A CANADIAN outsourcing business is opening its UK flagship office in Manchester
Neptune Innovations is moving into Tower Business Park in Didsbury and has already recruited 16 members of staff for the new office which holds up to 130 people.
Neptune Innovations’ managing director Mike McKenzie said the Didsbury site was chosen because of city’s talent pool.
Mr McKenzie said: “We’ve invested in a showcase site that’s a step above the average contact centre and boasts excellent public transport connections. I’m confident that we’ll be able to recruit a strong team with the right skills and flexibility by tapping into the diverse workforce in and around South Manchester.”
Colin Sinclair, chief executive of Manchester’s investment agency, MIDAS, which is supporting the move, said: “Neptune joins a number of international outsourcers operating out of the Manchester city region.
“The move is testament to the strength of the region’s outsourcing sector which already boasts companies such as IBM and Fujitsu.”
Neptune Innovations manages services such as debt collection and customer care on behalf of several companies, including banks, retail and utility firms.
