Property Round-up: How advises at historic airfield; Fit-out at MediaCity Booths

MANCHESTER-based planning consultant How Planning has submitted an application on behalf of Liberty Property Trust UK to restore an airfield control tower that played an important role in the air campaign of the Second World War.
How Planning is advising London-based developer Liberty Property Trust UK on its £5m plans to complete a central area at its Kings Hill business park in Kent on the site of RAF West Malling.
As part of the plans Liberty is considering a visitor centre in the control tower, which is now a listed building.
RAF West Malling suffered several bombing raids during the war and was not fully operational during the Battle of Britain. But it did play an active part in the later stages of the air campaign as part of fighter command.
The airfield was also used as a set for The Beatles 1967 film, Magical Mystery Tour.
