Sheffield appointed as MD of Betfred.com

TECHNOLOGY entrepreneur Chris Sheffield has been apointed as managing director of Warrington-based bookmaker Betfred’s online business, Betfred.com.

Sheffield, who has experience of mobile gaming through his investment in Manchester-based Million-2-1, had also previously built and sold web fulfilment business Eunite Ltd to N Brown Group.

At Betfred.com, he will be responsible for managing all of its online gaming as well as growing its portfolio of mobile gaming products.

Sheffield said: “I am delighted to be joining Betfred.com at a really exciting time.

“We have just started TV advertising and I am proud to join at the start of a high profile tournament the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship.

“I have a real affinity with the Betfred brand which has been successfully developed by Fred Done and his team.”

Betfred.com spokesman Mark Pearson said: “Chris is an outstanding talent and with his experience in mobile gaming we are delighted with our new signing and everyone is looking forward to working with him.

“He has some very exciting plans especially for mobile betting, poker and egaming products.”
