Russells scores again with Longs

MANCHESTER-based Russells Construction has started work on the £400,000 refurbishment of a 7,500 sq ft office block for a Yorkshire-based haulage company.
Longs of Leeds awarded Russells the contract following the successful delivery of a new yard at its Hull depot last year, two weeks ahead of schedule.
The project involves the complete refurbishment of an existing office block at Longs of Leeds’ head office in Crossgates, Leeds.
Trafford-Park based Russells will undertake both internal and external renovations in order to bring the property in-line with the current building regulations.
Andrew Long, director at Longs of Leeds commented: “As a busy haulage company it is important that work is completed on time and that disruption is kept to a minimum and Russells really understands this.
“They came to us with a good solution that was in budget and I trust that they will deliver the exceptional level of service that we have come to expect from them.”
Gareth Russell, director of Russells Construction, said: “It is a real testament to the hard work and commitment of the Russells team that Longs of Leeds have come back to us again.
“In a tough economic climate competition can be fierce and it is your reputation that really stands out, and is often the difference between winning and losing a contract.
“This is the second large refurbishment project that we have been awarded this month and it’s fantastic that existing clients are coming back to us, and that we’re also continuing to attract new clients.”
Earlier this month Russells started work on an £800,000 project for AKW Group at its World Freight Centre site on Europa Way in Trafford Park.
The company is also currently working on a £9m contract for Holiday Inn in Manchester, a £4m contract for a retail park in Hull and a £2m contract for an office complex in Trafford.
