Energetix wins Swiss order for pnu power

ENERGETIX Group, the Chester-based supplier of energy-efficient products, has agreed a deal with Swiss power firm Bimex Energy.

Bimex, which specialises in power services for the data centre market, has ordered one of Energetix’s pnu power systems that powers batteries from compressed air.

Energetix says its system has very low energy usage in standby mode, is cheap to operate and requires little maintenance. It offers data centre managers a way of backing up their power supply.

The group’s chief operating officer Neil Bright said: “We have been working closely with Bimex Energy to promote our products and we are delighted that they are purchasing a unit to help promote our complete product range, throughout Switzerland.

“We will be supporting Bimex at the Ineltec technology fair for building and infrastructure in September and we will be showcasing a live demonstration of a compressed air UPS [uninterrupted power supply] at this trade show.”

Energetix also produces Genlec, a micro combined heat and power boiler for the domestic market under the Kingston brand.
