Six-figure funding package will fuel international growth at Lancashire firm

A Lancashire pneumatics manufacturer has secured a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK to acquire new machining equipment that will support an increase in exports.

ROSS Pneumatrol, an electro-pneumatic solutions company in Accrington, says the new machine will enable it to increase production of explosion-proof certified valves, solenoids and wider products for international rail and industrial markets.

Increased productivity and exports to European and Chinese markets is expected to support ROSS Pneumatrol in achieving a forecasted £3m increase in turnover over the next three years.

ROSS Pneumatrol was established in 2013 following ROSS Controls’ acquisition of Pneumatrol.

ROSS Control was established in the USA in 1921, and continues to be an industry leader in pneumatic valve technology, offering a wide range of solutions tailored for various industries. Client sectors include rail, fluid power safety and metal forming.

Following the acquisition of Pneumatrol, the ROSS UK office relocated to the 24,000 sq ft Pneumatrol premises in Accrington, after both companies merged to form ROSS Pneumatrol.

ROSS Pneumatrol currently employs 76 staff.
