Business Masters awards will celebrate manufacturing success

THE search is on for the region’s top manufacturing company, which will be crowned at TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business Masters Awards.
The award – a new category for the 2012 awards – reflects the strength and depth of the sector in this region, spanning from chemicals to aerospace and automotive and which employs nearly 400,000 people, and generating more than £21bn a year.
The North West Manufacturer award is open to large and small businesses, who will be judged across a range of criteria including productg innovation, success in new markets and training and development of employees.
Among the winners of the inaugural North West Business Masters awards in 2011 was Brian Davidson, chief executive of Lancashire manufacturer Crown Paints for his success in leading the turnaround of the business.
North West Manufacturer is one of six awards which will be announced on April 26 at an awards lunch at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
The other categories are:
North West Ambassador: Greatest contribution to business in the region
North West Newcomer: Best new business initiative.
North West Innovator: Most creative product, idea or original business thinking
North West Exporter: Recognising outstanding success in international markets
North West Pride: The most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader in the region.
The lunch-time event begins with a champagne reception, followed by a three course lunch accompanied by fine wine. Tickets are priced £125 plus VAT each and are sold in pairs.
