Oliver Valves’ international hat-trick

INDUSTRIAL valve manaufacturer Oliver Valves, is celebrating winning a hat-trick of orders in 24 hours.
Reflecting the global reach of its products, the orders worth a toital of £1.6m came from customer in Japan, China and Dubai and will be used in energy projects in Qatar, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates .
The largest single order came from a Japanese company which placed an order for a £750,000 package of instrument manifolds and monoflanges for use on the Qatari Barzan Gas project in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
Michael Oliver, founder and chairman of Knutsford-based Oliver Valves, said: “Winning these orders from three different countries in one day is testimony to Oliver Valves’ international reputation.
“It’s also telling that China, one of the world’s most prolific manufacturers, wants to buy our products due to their sheer reliability, the most important attribute in this market and something which clearly differentiates us from our competitors.
“We expect our order book to continue to fill in 2012, and we’re planning for growth by investing in headcount and the capabilities of our Knutsford site in order to meet demand.”
