DESIGN agency Lake has been appointed by leading footwear and athletic brand New Balance to provide creative support across a range of projects.
The first project, an integrated range of point of sale for the lightweight 1080v2 running shoe is already in store.
Using the theme of ‘We All Have The Right To Light’, the concept involves a ‘floating’ shoe and associated display materials.
Hale-based Lake will also be supporting New Balance with further point of sale, advertising and exhibition projects, including the design and build of the company’s stand at the Virgin London Marathon Exhibition this month.

DIGITAL marketing agency Lakestar Media has been appointed by Diet Chef, the UK’s largest diet food home delivery company, to create and implement its search engine optimisation and social media strategies.
Edinburgh-based Diet Chef was founded by professional chef Kevin Dorren in 2008, and it now has nearly 80,000 customers in the UK and Ireland.
Neil McKay, chief executive of Lakestarm, which is based in Old Trafford, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us. Diet Chef has already enjoyed massive success and we are looking forward to helping them achieve their future goals.”

DIGITAL design company magneticNorth, has been nominated for a prestigious Webby Award.
It has been nominated in the mobile & experience marketing category for a project it collaborated on with BBC North’s R&D Lab – An interactive installation called BBC Maestro which allows children to interact with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
magneticNorth has 28 staff and clients include BBC, Reuters, Marketing Manchester and Google. The Webby Awards ceremony takes place in New York on on May 21.
