Business Doctors double in size

BUSINESS Doctors, the North West-based advisory service for SMEs has doubled its reach from 12 to 24 offices in the past year and is confident turnover will follow a similar pattern.

The company, which has a core business as well as a franchisee network, is headquartered in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, helps small firms overcome operational and financial challenges by providing them with one-on-one advice from highly experienced business people.

Founders Rod Davies and Matt Levington said the expansion of Business Doctors into new areas – including new just-opened offices covering north Manchester and Lancashire and west Derbyshire  – reflects popularity of the support service provided.

Mr Levington said: ““We are business do-ers rather than theorisers, and that’s what our customers value.

“The expansion of the network over the past year is a real game-changer for us as it means we are a UK-wide service now that can support businesses that have been left with less support by the removal of the face-to-face element of the government’s Business Link service.”

In the latest offices, Simon Halliday will serve the North Manchester and Lancashire area and Steve Wood is taking up the reins in Derbyshire west.

Both have enjoyed long and successful business careers and want to share their expertise and knowledge with businesses in their respective areas.

Simon Halliday, who has worked in senior roles in a wide range of businesses, said: “No matter what the size of your business, there are proven processes that lead to long-term growth and prosperity.

“What Business Doctors does is to provide these processes within a structure that I have seen be hugely successful with all companies looking to get on the right track to success.”

The company is expecting turnover for calendar year 2012 to double to £2m.
