Brabners launches wealth protection arm

LAW firm Brabners Chaffe Street has launched a new wealth protection unit which specialises in protecting business owners’ assets and helps shareholders address generational planning.

The unit, led by Manchester-based private client partner Richard Bate, combines wealth protection and succession planning advice with corporate and employment advice. It will advise on business ownership structures and agreements, wills and life cover, tax planning and trusts, pension strategies, protection against incapacity, pre-nups and other relationship agreements.

Mr Bate said: “We find many business owners are concentrating so hard on the success of their business that dealing with their private legal affairs sometimes slips down the priority list.

“The aim of the business wealth protection unit is to remind business owners of the bigger picture…to protect the wealth they are building for themselves and their families.”
