Roomzz invests £500k to expand Manchester

ROOMZZZ Aparthotel UK, is to expand its Manchester venue by investing £500,000 in adding a further 11 apartments.
Roomzzz, which bought then Princess Street property in 2009 after the administration of the Yang Sing Hotel just eight months after opening, is developing the sub-basement area of the site.
The venue will have 63 apartments when the next phase is completed.
Meanwhile the Leeds-based company is opening its first site in Newcastle in a £5m expansion.
Mark Walton, head of Roomzzz Aparthotel UK, said: “2012 is an important year for the brand with key investment into major UK cities. Roomzzz Aparthotel is known for its innovation and with that the ability to attract large and varied demographics to its locations which has driven the company to a strong position year on year.
“We are investing a further £500,000 into the development of an additional 11 apartments in our Manchester CITY location in order to help cope with demand.”
The Newcastle venue will see a Georgian House originally built in the 1700s restored.
