Jim O’Neill and retail on menu at pro-man conference

VETERAN economist Jim O’Neill will be returning again to his home city of Manchester to speak again at the pro.manchester conference.

Mr O’Neill, the Goldman Sachs stalwart, will also be joined at the event – now in its third year – by Newsnight duo Kirsty Wark and Gavin Esler.

The organisation says the event on March 22 next year will also include a panel discussion on the challenges facing the retail sector in Greater Manchester, with a focus on regenerating towns such as Oldham and Rochdale.

For a third year the conference will take place at The Point at Lancashire Cricket Club.

John Ashcroft, chief executive of pro.manchester said the event would be “better than ever”.
