Falder joins paint industry council

JOHN Falder, the managing director of Manchester paint firm HMG, has been appointed to a senior role at the British Coatings Federation.

He will chair the industry body’s industrial coatings council.

Mr Falder has had an active role in the BCF for 27 years and has been involved in a number of initiatives, including apprentice training schemes, environmental and sustainability programmes, and health and safety projects.

He said: ““I am privileged to be part of our dynamic and changing industry. The BCF has an increasingly important role in promoting the excellence and responsibility of our members and their vital role to the manufacturing infrastructure of the UK and the world.

“I will do my utmost to ensure the BCF continues to develop and go from strength to strength.”

Mr Falder has been at the helm of HMG for the past 20 years. It claims to be the largest independent speciality coatings manufacturer in the UK.
