Register now for Brewin Dolphin investment event

THE economic outlook for 2013 and the lessons businesses can learn from sport will be on the agenda at a key event next month.

Organised by private client investment management firm Brewin Dolphin, the event, ‘Are we out of the investment woods?’ features three varied and interesting speakers, who will entertain and inform in equal measure.

Brewin Dolphin’s head of portfolio strategy, Guy Foster will summarise the economic situation and give the firm’s view on the implications for the investment world. He will discuss the outlook for the medium-term and prospects for financial markets in 2013 and beyond.

Continuing the financial theme, will be Master of Wine, Conal Gregory, who trained as a stockbroker, became a Member of Parliament for nine years, before devoting his time to wine.

The former York MP, who is now a wine consultant for several airlines and cruise ship operators, will explain how wine can be an effective investment, as well as an enjoyable beverage.

The final speaker at the free-to-attend event at Lancashire Cricket Club’s The Point venue, will be Jeremy Snape, a former international cricketer who retrained as a sports psychologist. He now runs Sporting Edge a performance coaching consultancy which supports leaders and their teams in sport and business.

To register for the event, on January 24, which begins at noon and runs to 1.30pm,  please email stephanie.higgins@thebusinessdesk.com
