Losses widen at Ten Alps

TEN Alps, the media group which has its publishing arm in Macclesfield, has reported an increase in interim losses.
The business, which has spent the past year restructuring in a bid to turnaround its fortunes, said revenue fell from £20.8m to £17m in the six months to September 30.
Pre-tax losses widened from £1.1m to £1.7m, but chairman Peter Bertram was confident about future prospects for the firm which also has a TV production business and a marketing division.
He said: “As I communicated 12 months ago the key aim was all about creating a solid base from which to develop Ten Alps for the future.
“We are making progress albeit slowly. We have disposed of non-core assets, simplified the structure of the group into three distinct divisions, implemented further cost reductions and delivered high calibre products.
“We believe that by the end of the current financial year, the group will have completed all its planned restructuring and will be ready for any new challenges.”
