MediaMix: New venture for Clements; Code Computerlove

JOHN Clements, former business-to-business public relations chief at Manchester’s Staniforth, has set up his own agency.
In November advertising agency TBWA closed Staniforth, which had 12 staff at offices in Manchester and London, saying the move was linked to its strategy of focusing on “core creative agencies”.
Mr Clements has launched Metamorphic PR and is working with companies in the insurance, financial services and petrochemical industries.
He said: “Metamorphic PR combines many years’ experience creating editorial material and liaising with journalists on behalf of companies with the knowledge and expertise I’ve developed in digital marketing communications, such as online content creation and managing social media channels.
“I believe this mix of practical skills – along with strategic thinking and planning of communications to help companies reach their goals – is what organisations using B2B and corporate communications need today.”
Former Stanifirth MD Rob Brown has also branched out on his own with the launch of PR firm Rule5.

DIGITAL marketing firm Code Computerlove has completed a new campaign for electronics firm Brother UK.
It features a spoof video of an over-organised office manager who labels just about everything in the workplace.
The video is the centrepiece of a campaign that includes social media engagement, online advertising and incentives to win a luxury holiday to Mexico.
Brother UK sold 52% of all the labelling machines bought in Britain last year, an increase from 42% the year before according to market data.
James Lawton-Hill, head of marketing at Brother UK, said: “Our intention is to shake up the labelling market with innovative and surprising marketing activity that clearly communicates product benefits, but with a sense of humour.”
Manchester-based Chief Productions produced and directed the film.
