Appointments: Linder Myers, Cirrus and UKFast

LAW firm Linder Myers has promoted two associates in its court of protection and personal injury departments to partner level.
Simon Heapy, with the firm since 2004, specialises in court of protection applications and contested hearings. He has acted for clients with acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy.
Rakhi Chowhan, who joined Linder Myers in 1998, has experience in road traffic and motorcycle accidents, low speed impacts and animal claims with a strong litigation background.
She chairs the Manchester Young Professionals Netball League and was recently appointed as chairman of the North West sub-committee of the Association of Asian Women Lawyers.

BRAND agency Cirrus has appointed four new staff members.
Anthony Brushwood, Andy Holland and Tim Daniel all join Cirrus from former online marketing agency, Custard Media. Damon Evans joins as a senior developer from TBWA.
All four will work on digital campaigns through the design of websites and mobile apps.
Digital services director Simon Fuller said: “At the start of 2013 I was tasked with fast tracking the expansion of the digital offering here at Cirrus. Bringing these guys into the team is a great first step and our clients are already feeling the benefits”

MANCHESTER-based cloud hosting firm UKFast has appointed Chris Folkerd as director of enterprise technology.
Folkerd takes on the newly-created role after two years with UKFast, working as a technical manager with the company.
Prior to joining UKFast he was a researcher at Brunel University working with the National Police Improvement Agency, studying the development of complex IT solutions on a national scale, whilst completing a PhD in computer science.
As director of enterprise technology he will be responsible for the maintenance and management of non-networks shared infrastructure, leading the technical support team for enterprise customers and ensuring the quality of support, as well as developing new products.
He said: “Concentrating solely on our enterprise client base allows me to work on some of the world’s busiest websites and most complex hosting solutions. Developing new technologies and products, such as our just launched eCloud, is hugely exciting and a responsibility which I’m honoured to take on.”
