New WH Ireland CEO takes helm

STOCKBROKING and financial services group WH Ireland’s new chief executive has taken up his role.
The Manchester-based group announced in June that 41-year-old Richard Ford, a qualified barrister, was moving from his role as partner and chief operating officer at Spencer House Capital Management to become its CEO.
After joining the WH Ireland board this week Mr Ford was granted share options over 850,000 shares at an exercise price of 108p from May 8, 2011. Shares in WH Ireland currently stand at 87p, having fallen from over 180p a year ago.
Mr Ford already holds 100,000 shares in the firm.
At the same time as Mr Ford’s appointment was announced, the group said that his predecessor, Laurie Beevers would step up to the role of executive deputy chairman.
