VR firm Virtalis agrees Canadian partnership

NORTH West Virtual Reality technology company Virtalis has agreed a partnership with major Canadian group, which should lead to an uplift in  sales.

The Sale firm has signed an exclusive deal with Fleetway Inc, part of J.D. Irving, a business with more than 15,000 employees and business interests in forestry, transportation, shipbuilding, retail, industrial equipment, construction and consumer products.

Fleetway Inc will buy Virtalis’ technology and also act as an agent for sales to its own customers.

David Cockburn-Price, managing director of Virtalis said: “We are proud that Fleetway, specialists in design engineering, integrated logistics and project management, has examined the VR marketplace and has chosen Virtalis as a technological partner in a sphere it has identified as pivotal to many of their future projects.

“Fleetway will represent Virtalis in Canada and plans to not only add VR to its own projects, but will also bring our technology to its customers and suppliers and to the broader market.”

The companies recently collaborated at CANSEC 2013, Canada’s leading defence technology showcase.

Norman Brown, vice-president of Fleetway, added: “I am thrilled to enhance our engineering services and solutions by joining forces with Virtalis.”
