Barbara Spicer lands Skills Funding Agency role
FORMER Salford City Council chief executive Barbara Spicer, has been appointed interim head of the Skills Funding Agency, part of the Department for Business.
She will start her new position on Monday and is covering for the SFA’s full time CEO, Kim Thorneywork, who is off work due to ill-health.
Miss Spicer spent seven years at the helm at Salford before departing in September amid restructuring at the council led by city mayor Ian Stewart.
