Appointments: Deloitte’s senior team; R3; Tony Hill; Foz Contracts

DELOITTE in the North West has unveiled details of the new senior management team.
 
The team has been put in place by new senior partner Richard Bell to help drive new business and maintain client relationships.

Andy Wilde will take on responsibility for international activity, Andy Westbrook will lead on private markets while Chris Robertson who will lead on PLC activity.

Bill Dawson will lead relationships with financial institutions and professional services, while Jane Boardman will be responsible for relationships with regional stakeholders. Jodi Birkett takes on the communities senior leadership role. Sean Beech will continue to lead the Liverpool office.

Mr Bell said: “The North West continues to be a vibrant and forward thinking region and it’s important that our leadership team can impact the success of business based here. I have selected a team of committed and experienced individuals who I know to be pioneers in their fields.”

TONY Hill, the former director of Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), has joined Morris Hargreaves McIntyre (MHM) as managing director.

His former MOSI colleague Janet Leigh has also joined the market research firm as head of finance.  

In addition the company has appointed two new consultants, Sian Knight and Anna Vaughan, taking the total number in the team to 40 including four employees in their New Zealand office.

The Manchester firm’s expansion follows a strong year, with a 14% increase in business in 2012-13 and growth of more than 40% over the last three years. This includes wins such as Sydney Opera House, Museum of Islamic Art in Doha and The Royal Academy in London.

R3, the trade body for insolvency professionals, has appointed Richard Wolff as its new chair in the North West.
 
Wolff, who is head of corporate recovery and insolvency at JMW Solicitors, replaces Jeremy Oddie, who has stepped down after a three-year term but will continue to play an active role on the North West committee.  

In his new role, Wolff will act as the spokesman for the insolvency profession in the region and will be supported by his new vice-chair Paul Barber, an insolvency practitioner and partner at Begbies Traynor.
 
He said: “The insolvency profession is integral to keeping the rescue culture alive in the UK and over the past few years our members have saved thousands of businesses and jobs. Insolvency is not necessarily the end of the road – in fact, in many cases where insolvency professionals are called in, the business, or a significant part of it, survives.”

BIRKENHEAD-based Foz Contract Services has appointed a new Chairman to its board.
 
Mitchell Smith joins in a non-executive role as part of the changes to the company following recent £1.4m investment from Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).  
 
He has previously held executive positions with national organisations across the energy, electrical and social housing sectors. This includes most recently, national operations director at Carillion Energy Services one of the largest national suppliers of heating and renewable energy.
 
Foz’s managing director Chris Foran said: “We are delighted that Mitchell has agreed to join our board. He has an electrical background and vast experience in our sector with particular expertise within the social housing and energy industry which are areas of the business we are looking to grow.”
