Awards celebrate Northern media industry

AROUND 700 media figures gathered in Manchester last night for the annual Prolific North awards.

Companies recognised ranged from public relations firms to ad sales agencies and TV production companies.

Large digital agency was picked up by Code Computerlove, while the large PR firm went to Citypress. The small PR firm award was won by Smoking Gun.

Best magazine went to CN Magazines, publisher of Cumbria Life, and best factual TV programme was won by ITV Granada Reports. TheBusinessDesk.com was in the running for best news publication but lost out to the Manchester Evening News.

The event, hosted by the Prolific North media news website, was held at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
