Profits up 16% at Scapa

TECHNICAL tapes manufacturer Scapa recorded strong sales and earnings growth in the year to March.
The international group headquartered in Ashton-Under-Lyne said pre-tax profits were up 16.7% to £11.2m on revenues of £226.1m, up 8.3%.
Scapa said it saw growth across all its market segments and in all countries where it operates.
Revenues were up 20.6% in healthcare, and industrial was up 5.4%.
Chief Executive Heejae Chae said: “The group has delivered another record performance and grown both in revenue and profit across all markets. Healthcare continues to deliver on its strategy by climbing the value chain and forming stronger outsourcing partnerships with both existing and new customers and we are well positioned to take advantage of the current outsourcing trend in this sector.
“Industrial is successfully improving its performance by focusing on areas where we have critical mass and a leverageable position. We are very pleased with our results, confident in our strategy and expect to make further progress in the year ahead.”
