Doing Business with the US: A key year for trade

2015 looks set to be a critical year for trade with the US – already the UK’s number one export partner.

As negotiations between the EU and US ramp up on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement, TheBusinessDesk.com and international law firm Squire Patton Boggs are delighted to launch a new free Doing Business With the US guide.

Looking at the opportunities in a huge and diverse market, the supplement which can be downloaded here , also explores the impact of inward investment into this region.

Already worth about £130bn a year, exports to the US are clearly vital to UK plc.

Rob Elvin, office managing partner at Squire Patton Boggs in Manchester,Rob Elvin, Squire Patton Boggs believes there are strong growth prospects for companies from this region.

“With such a large and diverse economy, now fuelled by cheaper energy costs, the opportunities in the US are ideal for North West businesses as their growth markets mirror the region’s key sectors, such as chemicals, manufacturing, engineering and energy.”

Combined with the TTIP deal, which Prime Minister David Cameron has described as potentially the “biggest bilateral trade deal in history”, 2015 could be a landmark year for trade with Uncle Sam.
