Appointments: Forrest Lloyds Bank & more

CONSTRUCTION group Forrest has beefed-up its top team with the appointment of Ian McGillivary as commercial director to help further its ambitions to become a nationwide social housing contractor.
McGillivary, who was previously with Carillion, has 20 years of experience in the construction sector and was responsible for the commercial performance of Carillion’s facilities management business.
He has joined the board of the private equity-backed Westhoughton company as it eyes growth on a national scale across its refurbishment, new-build, responsive and energy services activity in the social housing, residential and commercial sectors.
Forrest chief executive Lee McCarren said: “Ian’s appointment comes at a time when we’re accelerating our geographic expansion – with our imminent launch of our first office in the North East due to give us total coverage across the North.
“His experience at one of the UK’s largest construction companies, coupled with his expertise in developing teams and driving growth will be an invaluable asset as we continue to target expansion across our key markets nationally.”

LLOYDS Bank Commercial has appointed Iain Reilly as an associate in its Manchester acquisition finance team.
Reilly will work with the team, based at Spring Gardens, to deliver senior debt and working capital facilities in support of private equity-backed deals and refinancing.
He began his career as a graduate with RBS, where he worked with the bank’s real estate, portfolio management and structured finance transactions divisions.
Neil Price, head of Northern England and Scotland origination for Lloyds’ acquisition finance said: “Iain is skilled and ambitious, as shown by his impressive ascent through the ranks, and his appointment shows our commitment to providing timely and sustainable leverage finance solutions in the North. LIVERPOOL City Region investment charity, One Ark, which has just celebrated its first anniversary, has also appointed Helen Wills as director of enterprise and investment.
Wills – who has previously held senior positions at Balfour Beatty Investments – will focus on growth and increasing the number of collaborative partnerships the charity undertakes.
She said: “Collaboration is something that doesn’t happen enough in the public or private sector, despite the benefits it provides for all involved. I’m keen for One Ark to build on its success and to utilise like-minded partners in order to deliver tangible results, which provide measurable economic and wellbeing impact for those we aim to support.”

FORMER journalist Chris Hogg has joined Macclesfield-based tech PR specialist agency Context as an account manager.
Joining from the Stoke Sentinel newspaper, he will work with clients in the B2B and consumer technology sectors.
As well as media relations, Hoggs will also be working on a range of content marketing activities, including technology white papers, blogging and social media programmes for clients.
Context managing director Frank Smith said: “Chris brings skills and experience that are highly relevant to the needs of our client base. Finding someone who is passionate about technology and digital media is a real bonus to the business.”
