US contract win for Energetix

CHESHIRE alternative energy business Energetix Group has won a £250,000 contract to supply its power units in America.
The AIM-listed group has struck a deal to supply San Diego-based P&E Automation with its Pnu Power compressed air energy system. In a statement Energetix said the units would be installed at “a leading US aerospace and defence company’s manufacturing facility”.
The order is part of a contract P&E has secured to integrate Pnu Power energy storage with renewable generation such as wind turbines and solar power. The project has been part-funded by the US Department of Energy.
Energetix’s chief executive Adrian Hutchings said: “This is the first major order for Pnu Power outside of its successful trials in the telecoms and utility switching back-up power market, and underpins our confidence in the ability for Pnu Power to deliver a valuable and environmentally friendly power supply to a broad customer profile.”
