SPIE Opens Northern Hub in Manchester
SPIE, the independent specialist in electrical and mechanical engineering, HVAC, energy and communication systems, has announced the opening of its new northern hub in the Venus Building at Manchester’s Trafford Quays.
The move brings together six teams, previously geographically separated across the North West, into one building for the first time.
The company says it creates a space to allow teams to work in closer collaboration than ever before.
The Venus Building is a modern, 91,500sq ft structure, developed by Peel Holdings. Featuring a glazed atrium, the exterior of the building incorporates an impressive landmark sculpture and water feature.
Occupying the entire first floor, and half of the ground floor of the building, the collective SPIE team is now located just a short walking distance from the largest retail complex in Europe, the Trafford Centre. The light, modern offices have been designed specifically to promote staff wellbeing with brand new furniture, IT facilities and services in place.
Head of asset management at Peel, Paul Chappels, said: “We are delighted to welcome SPIE to the Venus building. SPIE is an excellent company to have as a tenant in our property portfolio and a great addition to our existing line-up of occupiers, one we envisage we will work with on projects going forward.”
