Pizza chain relaunches seaside restaurant

PIZZA Hut Restaurants has unveiled a £200,000 restaurant makeover at its Blackpool Tower Hut, creating 20 new jobs.
The re-opening is part of a multi-million pound nationwide redesign programme by the casual dining company.
A new menu will also be rolled out in the revamped Hut including the Ultimate Thin Pizza – featuring Pizza Hut Restaurant’s thinnest ever crust – Frickles (fried pickles), and American Style Waffles.
The restaurant now also features a contemporary cocktail bar and drinks menu.
Bosses claim the addition will transform the Hut into an energetic nighttime destination, attracting local residents and tourists visiting the iconic Blackpool Tower.
Staff have received specialist training on how to prepare hard shakes, mojitos and margarita cocktails served at the bar and an education on the history and “theatre” of cocktail making, including which cocktails complement the new menu items, Pizza Hut said.
Restaurant nanager Ryan Hunter said, “Blackpool is an energetic and exciting destination and we can’t wait to show off our Hut’s new look and feel and open our doors once again to welcome local visitors and tourists.
“We have a lot to shout about with our fantastic new Hut – we have one of the best Huts in the country and the makeover has enabled us to create a more vibrant and inviting atmosphere. We have invested in some exciting new features including our new bar, which we’re confident will draw in an energetic evening crowd.
“On top of this we have introduced some tasty new menu additions including our Kentucky Style BBQ ribs and Sweet Potato Fries.”
