Accountancy firm gets new regional leader

ACCOUNTANCY and business advisory firm BDO LLP has announced a new lead partner for the North West.
Tax Risk partner Ed Dwan, who has been at the firm for eight years, has taken over the role and will oversee the 330-strong Manchester and Liverpool offices.
Having headed up the national tax risk consultancy team, Dwan’s experience has been working with large multinational corporates typically ranging from £100m turnover to FTSE clients. He started his career with HMRC.
Dwan will be responsible for providing the future strategy and vision for the region as it invests in digital transformation and developing the next generation of talent moving up the ranks within the firm.
He said: “It was the calibre and diversity of the firm’s talent that really attracted me to this post. Ensuring we recruit and develop the best people will remain my priority and I look forward to announcing new partner appointments.
“As a firm, BDO has a culture that encourages its people to flourish through mentoring and support to develop into professionals that clients value highly.
“I’m proud of BDO’s position in the market. We have a firm focus on innovation to reflect the changing business backdrop for our clients.
“We will continue to focus on serving the North West’s mid-market (businesses with a turnover between £10m-£300m), and remain committed to maintaining our position as number one for client satisfaction – a position we have held for four years running.”
