Musical tribute for Hill Dickinson milestone

A SPECIALLY-commissioned classical musical piece was performed for the first time last night as part of the 200th anniversary celebrations for law firm Hill Dickinson.
More than 300 guests attended the performance of ‘Mid-Atlantic’ at the firms’ headquarters in St Paul’s Square, Liverpool, before moving on to the city’s Philharmonic Hall to enjoy a classical concert, sponsored by the firm.
‘Mid-Atlantic’ was composed for Hill Dickinson by composer, arranger and lecturer Ian Stephens. It was played by the Metropolitan Brass Ensemble.
Hill Dickinson senior partner, Tony Wilson, said of the evening, “We are an international firm but our roots are firmly placed in Liverpool.
“As a supporter of the city’s cultural heritage, we thought it particularly apt to hold a musical celebration of our past, present and future here.
“We hope that our clients enjoyed the evening and that it truly reflected the importance we place on building strong client partnerships.”
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic chief executive Michael Eakin, added: “We were delighted to welcome Hill Dickinson to the Philharmonic Hall and honoured that they chose a concert by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to celebrate with their clients on this special occasion.
“We are grateful for their generous support, and, from one internationally renowned Liverpool institution to another, wish them the warmest congratulations on their 200th anniversary.”
As well as Liverpool, Hill Dickinson has offices in Chester, Manchester, Sheffield, London, Piraeus in Greece and Singapore.
