De Vere Mottram gets a revamp

HOTEL group AHG is investing £800,000 on upgrading its De Vere Mottram Hall hotel near Alderley Edge in Cheshire.

The revamp will start at the hotel’s main conference facility, the St Andrew’s Suite, and extend across all areas of the business, including the leisure club, restaurants and reception areas.

General Manager David Steel said: “This is part of an ongoing investment in the hotel by owners AHG. It will enable us to provide the very best of facilities and top class service for our guests however they want to enjoy the hotel, either for business or leisure.

De Vere Hotels was bought by AHG for around £760m in 2006.

The business is a joint venture between Richard Balfour-Lynn, other directors of his Marylebone Warwick Balfour group and the Bank of Scotland. Marylebone Warwick Balfour owns the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin hotel chains.
