David Wilson submits plans for 295 homes in Liverpool

DAVID Wilson Homes has submitted plans for 295 homes in north Liverpool.
The housebuilder, a division of Barratt Developments, wants to put up the houses as part of a major housing revamp in the Kirkdale area of the city.
Residents have been moved out of existing 1970s homes in the area between Easby Road and Westminster Road which will be demolished.
David Wilson Homes expects its planning application to be approved early next year. It has already carried out one development in the area at St John’s Place off Westminster Road.
Planning director Andrew Taylor said: “The application is being delivered as part of the Housing Market Renewal Initiative and builds upon the success of St John’s Place, to help provide transformational change for this deprived area of Liverpool. The proposed second phase will offer open market and affordable housing, in addition to high quality open space.”
