MORE than 50 North West jobs have been lost after airline and wholesale catering supply firm Casper Group was been placed into administration.

MORE than 50 North West jobs have been lost after airline and wholesale catering supply firm Casper Group was been placed into administration.

The 54 staff affected are based in Skelmersdale, Merseyside, at a distribution centre operated by Casper’s contractual business King. Nationwide 320 jobs will be lost..

Two of the firm’s subsidiaries, WK Thomas and Industrial Supplies, have beensold to distribution firm Bunzl by administrator Deloitte.

Daniel Butters, joint administrator, said: “A streamlined workforce has been retained to assist the administrator in the orderly wind-down of the assets held at King’s six national distribution centres.”
