Aerospace Alliance manager wins boss of the year

A MANAGER at the North West Aerospace Alliance has been named the region’s best boss in a competition organised by the recruitment firm Reed.

Paula Stell, a shared services manager at the Preston-based North West Aerospace Alliance, was nominated by her team for her “inspiring and supportive” approach to management.

She was one of hundreds of bosses nominated by their staff. Judges recognised her commitment to her team, “allowing them the freedom to develop their own skills and ideas”.

She said: “A team leader is only as good as the people around them, and I’m lucky to be supported by fantastic and hard-working colleagues at the North West Aerospace Alliance.”

Amiee Giles, who nominated Ms Stell, said: “She is an excellent manager who is always happy to offer support and guidance when needed. She allows her team the freedom to develop innovative ideas but is always there to guide and offer advice if necessary.
