Regeneration body encourages start-ups to take a LEAP

REGENERATE Pennine Lancashire has launched a new business support scheme aimed at supporting start-up businesses.

The organisation chose February 29 as the launch date for Pennine LEAP, which has been funded with an £80,000 grant from the European Regional Development Fund.

The programme provides coaching, mentoring and other services to non-retail enterprises across the six boroughs of Pennine Lancashire. It will be delivered by four organisations – Enterprise4all, Community and Business Partners, East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and SELNET.

Steve Hoyle, managing director for Regenerate Pennine Lancashire, said: “Pennine LEAP is aimed at helping high-growth businesses get off the ground. We are offering a full package of support to help people turn their ideas into thriving businesses.”
