The Northern Leadership Awards are back in 2022, and this time supported by the Northern Leadership Conference.
Both events will take place in person in Leeds on May 25, highlighting the North’s very best leaders and providing inspiration on how leaders are tackling the challenges businesses are facing. Tickets are available here.
TheBusinessDesk.com created the Northern Leadership Awards to celebrate the people that are role models within their organisations and raise the bar for their competitors. The winners will show the qualities of extraordinary leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had. The awards offer a great opportunity to recognise and showcase the achievements and success of businesses in the region.
The Northern Leadership Conference will take place on the afternoon of May 25 and can be attended separately. The event will be opened by Sir Roger Marsh OBE DL, chair of Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and the NP11, who will share his experience of leading both public and private sector organisations during times of change.
The second speaker confirmed for the conference is Simon Theakston, joint managing director of Yorkshire brewery, T&R Theakston. He is also the great-grandson of Robert Theakston, the brewery’s original founder, who established Theakston almost 200 years ago. Based in Masham, North Yorkshire, but operating both nationally and internationally, Theakston is one of the oldest and largest family-controlled breweries in the UK.
Attendees will also hear from previous winners of the awards, who will share their perspectives and tips for leading:
The interactive half-day event will also include thought provocations, structured discussions for everyone to participate in a Leadership Surgery and networking.
The panel for the Leadership Surgery features:
