S&W completes first office job for Bruntwood

ALTRINCHAM-based Shopfitter Styles & Wood has continued its diversification with its first major office refurbishment project for Manchester-based commercial property firm Bruntwood.

The firm has completed an upgrade of 23,000 sq ft of space at Bruntwood’s The Plaza in Liverpool city centre.

The building, which was iriginally the headquarters of pools giant Littlewoods, has been completely upgraded in recent years and Styles&Wood’s work involved the installation of air conditioning, raised access floors, new toilets and new lift lobbies.

John Marland, director of project management at Bruntwood, said: “Right from the competitive tender submission to practical completion, we were very impressed with S&W’s performance. Unsurprisingly, the project was completed on time and on budget.

Andy Byrne, director of S&W’s office and banking unit, said: “We set out in 2009 with a clear aim in mind – to cast our net firmly on the office and banking sector. In this sector, nobody defines the phrase ‘high quality office space’ more than Bruntwood.

“We’re delighted to be working with such a key player in the commercial market and look forward to working together on future projects.”
