Concise gets loan for telecoms division

CHESHIRE company Concise IT has secured £50,000 funding to develop the business after buying Wilmslow-based Takeda Technology out of administration and taking on its 15 employees.
The Enterprise Finance Guarantee loan from NatWest will support a sales and marketing drive at the newly acquired business, which has been relaunched as Concise Telecoms.
Northwich-based Concise, which employs 50 staff, was set up 15 years ago by David and Nadine Southern to provide IT support, disaster recovery and the design and installation of business networks.
Concise expects to grow its turnover to £4.2m in 2009, from £2.9m last year, as the acquisition means it can now supply business telephone systems, contact centre systems and mobile voice or data products.
David Southern, managing director of Concise IT, said: “The EFG loan allows us to look at various cross sales initiatives between Concise IT and Concise Telecoms.”
Under the EFG scheme the government will guarantee 75% of any loans made, with the bank covering the remaining 25%.
