AMS says profits will be at ‘top end’ of scale

WOUNDCARE speciialist Advanced Medical Solutions expects full-year profits to be at the top end of market expectations on the back of strong trading.
The AIM-listed company, based in Winsford, Cheshire, said it had seen continued good performance since its interim results.
Star performer has been the LiquiBand range of products, where sales in the US have topped expectations.
It said: “Sales have benefited in this launch year from demand arising from sampling and customer evaluations. Even allowing for this, AMS is very pleased with the progress made.”
Chairman Dr Geoffrey Vernon, who is standing down after a decade in the role, added: “As I approach the end of my time as chairman, I am pleased to report that AMS continues to make good progress.
“I am confident that the business is on a sound footing for the next stage of its development and I would like to take this opportunity to wish the company well and to thank all AMS employees for their support and hard work over the 10 years that I have been chairman.”
AMS said last month that chief executive Don Evans would succeed Dr Vernon as non-executive chairman. Chief operating officer Chris Meredith will become CEO on January 1.
