Appointments: New FD for Begbies Traynor; Ruth’s Hiley rated at RSM Tenon

AIM-listed business advisers Begbies Traynor Group has confimed Nick Taylor as finance director.

The Manchester-based firm, which specialises in insolvency, said Mr Taylor, 39, had now joined its board. He joined the bsuiness in November 2007 as financial controller and has served as acting finance director since August this year.

Mr Taylor, a chartered accountant, qualified with KPMG in Manchester. He previously held senior finance roles in United Utilities and its former subsidiary Vertex Data Science.

Executive chairman Ric Traynor said: “Nick has proved to be a dedicated and committed financial controller who has made the transition to the role of finance director with ease.  I look forward to working with Nick over the coming years.”

RSM Tenon, the accountancy and business advisory firm in the UK, has appointed Ruth Hiley has as head of national payroll services in its outsourcing team.

Based in Manchester, Ruth is a former head of the payroll teams at both BDO and PKF.
