Sun cream firm strikes cancer deal

MANCHESTER-based Linco Care, the sun cream and personal care products manufacturer and distributor, has signed up to a two-year support programme with Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A percentage of sales of the company’s Calypso sun cream will go to the charity along with a cut of revenue from a range of wigs designed for women who have lost their hair after chemotherapy treatment.
In return the company has been granted permission to carry the charity’s logo on some products.
Linco Care, which exports to 60 countries, said the deal followed a promotion in which the company gave sun cream to cricket fans at the NatWest One Day Internationals cricket series last year in return for a donation to Marie Curie.
Managing director Farhad Seka said: “I am delighted that we are now working alongside Marie Curie who do so much for those people who are battling cancer. After all we produce a number of sun protection products that are very relevant to cancer prevention.”
