Events firm EMS hails "record" year

EVENT Marketing Solutions, the Ellesmere Port-based firm which provides marketing roadshows for corporate clients, has said it achieved a record trurnover of £5m in 2010.
The company, which useds branded trailers to put on roadsows for corporate clients including Barclays, Sky and 20th Century Fox said that it had also secured £2.2m worth of new business including technology brands IBM and Ciena, as well as repeat business from longstanding clients Infinera and the British Heart Foundation.
During 2010, Ellesmere Port-based EMS partnered with several communication agencies on a series of employee engagement initiatives – notably a worldwide internal communications campaign with agency The Bank for AstraZeneca.
The firm’s managing director, Keith Austin, said that its international reach had also increased, with exhibitions held in 27 countries last year.
“The European market is exploding for us,” said Austin.
“Despite tough times for the economy, vehicle-based roadshows are in more demand than ever.
“Last year, we pushed all boundaries and delivered some ambitious international campaigns with cutting-edge design and highly interactive on-board experiences.”
