MDA scuppered by loss of Nisa contract
STOCKPORT marketing agency MDA Creative has gone into administration after losing a major contract.
Administrators Alan Tomlinson and Paul Barber of Begbies Traynor were called in last month after the business closed down on December 2 with the loss of 29 jobs.
A Begbies spokesperson said MDA ran into trouble after losing a contract to handle advertising for the food retailer Nisa Todays which accounted for 55% of turnover.
The loss of the contract had a “dramatic downward effect on cashflow,” said Begbies. A buyer is being sought for the business and there have been a number of expressions of interest.
Founded by chairwoman Anne Maley, MDA was a printing and advertising specialist incorporated in 1986.
