Pochin starts work on Canmoor’s Trafford park scheme

PROPERTY and costruction firm Pochin’s has been appointed to demolish an industrial unit at Canmoor Developments’ 5.5-acre site in Trafford Park to make way for a new bespoke industrial and distribution unit.

The company’s Special Projects division has been appointed to bring down 120,000 sq ft of existing industrial units and then prepare the site for 100,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse accommodation. The demolition work will start later this month.

A planning application for the redevelopment of the site is due to be submiotted later this year once an occupier for the site has been found.

Antony Pochin, operations director of Pochin Special Projects, said: “Our work in Trafford Park is one of a series of bespoke projects that the team is currently working on in the region.

“We are currently on site in Knutsford, preparing the accommodation for the new town centre Waitrose Food Store; we have recently completed a £78,000 contract to construct a new aerosol store for NWF Group; plus we are also on site in Gotham near Nottingham, constructing a new storage yard and conducting associated storage works.
