CBG deal is a home win for Fleetwood

INSURANCE broker CBG Group is to provide a package of insurance cover to non-league football club Fleetwood Town’s redeveloped Highbury Stadium.

The club, which plays in the Blue Square Bet Premier division, has completed a major transformation of its ground in the past few years. Work on the new East Stand began in May last year and is almost complete. This follows on from the redevelopment of the North and West stands in 2008 and the Percy Ronson stand in 2007. Once complete, the stadium will have a capacity of 5,000.

Dave Mackie, business development director at Manchester-based CBG Group, said: “CBG has worked with Fleetwood Town for a number of years and, as a company, we’re extremely committed to working with a wide range of sports teams – from grass roots level, right up to the Premier League.

“The club’s had four promotions in the last six years and we’re delighted to be playing a part in its continuing success.

“CBG has extended and tailored the existing cover to meet the needs of a modern football stadium and the policy balances the appropriate level of cover at the right level of cost.”
