Appointments: Ensor in at Bell Pottinger, MediaCity, Clough & Willis and IVE Global

PUBLIC relations group Bell Pottinger North has appointed Zoe Ensor to head its consumer division.
Ensor, 40, from Buxton, joins the Manchester-based PR consultancy from MIDAS, Manchester’s Investment and Development Agency Service.
Her new role at Bell Pottinger North will be to lead and grow the agency’s consumer division, capitalising on its position as part of the Bell Pottinger Group.
Managing director Chris Warham said: “Bell Pottinger North has an excellent reputation and client base and we are keen to build on our existing portfolio with fresh impetus at the helm of the consumer side of the business.”

BURY-based law firm Clough & Willis has promoted head of commercial property Paul Breedon to senior partner.
He has been at Clough & Willis since 2002 after a merger with his own firm – Breedon Taylor. He replaces Richard Rouse who died in September.
Breedon will continue to lead the commercial property team where he acts for sellers, buyers and lending institutions on investment acquisitions and disposals and for both landlords and tenants on a broad range of commercial lettings.

ITV executive John O’Shaughnessy has joined MediaCity as head of technology operations.
O’Shaughnessy, who has worked for ITV North for the past 25 years, has wide experience of managing departments, as well as overseeing the implementation of new technology.
He has looked after the technology requirements for ITV shows including Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
He said: “After over 25 years of enjoyable and productive time at ITV I am now keenly looking forward to the challenges ahead at MediaCity. I am delighted to get the opportunity to be a member of the team that will develop MediaCity from its inception to becoming a world class studio and resources facility that will redefine the reference for production and content creation.”

IVE Global, the technical PR and marketing agency based in Salford Quays, has expanded its account handling team with the appointment of Gemma Ellis as account executive.
She will work on IVE’s portfolio of built environment and education technology clients, including CMS Acoustics, CMS Vibrations and Promethean International. She will also help drive forward development opportunities by providing support on new business leads.
Ellis joins from Somerset-based Porcupine PR, where she gained experience delivering traditional print and digital campaigns for clients such as Gardman, Growth Technology, Protyre and Olympic diver, Peter Waterfield.
