Morson ‘confident’ on strong order book
TECHNICAL recruitment group Morson is confident for the future, buoyed by lucrative public sector contracts.
In a statement released ahead of the Greater Manchester group’s annual meeting, chairman Gerry Mason said trading was in line with expectations and the outlook was “positive”.
He said: “Although a number of economic indicators remain uncertain, we believe the outlook for Morson remains positive as the group benefits from the public and private sectors’ need for maintained, new and upgraded infrastructure both in the UK and overseas.
“Many of our significant markets such as nuclear, rail and defence design hold opportunities via committed current and future major projects. We look forward to the current year with confidence.”
Eccles-based Morson supplies more than 9,000 white-collar employees to the aerospace, defence, nuclear, oil and gas, rail, telecoms and infrastructure sectors. Customers include Caterpillar, McLaren, NG Bailey, Sellafield and Bombardier Aerospace.
